We understand that your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. From intimate ceremonies of 25 to celebrations of 150 and more, our dedicated staff will help you craft the perfect wedding day. Te Awa Winerys rustic charm and stunning vineyard setting coupled with our exceptional food and wine provides a stylish and distinctive wedding venue to help make your day truly memorable.

The Ceremony
Many couples choose to marry here in our tranquil garden setting at Te Awa Winery. We have several beautiful sites for you to choose from to create the perfect space for your ceremony. Whether you want to be married in the intimate surroundings of our cellar door, in our gorgeous gardens or even amongst the vines, the choice is yours.

The Drinks
Relax and enjoy drinks and canapes with your guests on our expansive lawn, in our beautiful gardens, or even at our rustic cellar door. At this time you may choose to have your photos taken in the dramatic vineyard scenery around Te Awa and rejoin your guests once they are seated for dinner.

All canape sample menus contained are intended to give an indication only. Our menus change seasonally and with the availability of ingredients. Once you have decided on Te Awa as your wedding venue, your function coordinator will confirm menu selections with you.

The Dinner
At Te Awa we have a well deserved reputation for producing outstanding food and wine. We know your guests will be impressed and you will be delighted. Our Head Chef, Brent Cameron, will create an individual menu for you personally. We only use the very best seasonal produce and our menus reflect these seasonal changes. Download the Wedding Information Pack for sample menus to give you an indication of the style of food and service we provide at Te Awa.

Again, once you have confirmed your booking, your function coordinator will be able to discuss the menus with you closer to the date of your Wedding. Children under 12 may choose from our childrens menu and will be charged accordingly.

The Evenings Festivities
With the formalities over, now is the time to relax with your guests and dance the night away. Bands or DJs are welcome and we have some fabulous spaces for dancing. Our liquor license allows us to sell alcohol until 11pm and guests must depart the premises by 12pm.

Facility Fees
Te Awa is available for afternoon & evening weddings from 4.00pm to 12 midnight. The restaurant and grounds are for your exclusive use and attracts a venue rental fee of $10 per person. This fee includes white linen, white cloth napkins, glassware, crockery, cutlery, printed menus and all staffing costs. If you choose to have your ceremony at Te Awa, there is a $200 fee.

Dates and Deposits
Once you have decided on Te Awa as your Wedding venue and a date is settled, a $500 deposit is required as confirmation of your booking. Of course, this is then deducted from the total cost of your wedding. Please be aware that the deposit is non refundable.

Access on the Day
Our facilities are accessible from 9.00am to 12pm and then after 3pm on the day of your wedding. We request your consideration for our lunch guests and ask that you organise your arrangements around service, which begins at 12pm each day and ends at approximately 3pm.

A Destination Wedding in Hawkes Bay
We appreciate that many brides do not live in Hawkes Bay, and even if you do, you may need help finding and deciding on providers of associated services such as Celebrants, Florists and the like. We have compiled a list of service providers we can recommend and have worked with in the past, everything from Photographers to Luxury Guest Houses. If you would like our list of suggestions, please do not hesitate to ask your function coordinator.

A Winter Wedding
If you are considering an Autumnal or Winter Wedding, between the months of May and September then we offer some wonderful incentives such as no venue hire and discounts when a minumin of 50 guests are confirmed. If you are interested in these months, please discuss these options with the Function Coordinator.
